Swiss retail cooperative Migros has announced that it has appointed Heinz Rüedi to succeed Markus Burren as the new head of the department of development, construction and operation, on 1 January after Burren's retirement.
Heinz Rüedi joined the Migros cooperative as project manager of expansion in 2009. He later headed rental and real estate management and, in his most recent position, expansion, planning and development.
He has a background in architecture and management. Before joining Migros, he held positions including assistant lecturer at the University of Technology and Architecture in Bern, and property manager, at the Inselspital (University Hospital) in Bern.
