Swiss retailer Migros and Swiss Post have announced a partnership that will enable shoppers to submit and receive their parcels at around 300 selected Migros branches throughout Switzerland.
This new measure also makes it possible to combine shopping and going to the post office.
Successful Cooperation
"Collaboration with Swiss Post creates a practical value for our customers in their everyday lives", said Matthias Wunderlin, marketing director and member of the directorate general of the Federation of Migros Cooperatives.
Users need an online post office account in order to pick up parcels or letters in Migros branches. This allows them to redirect their goods via the 'My Shipments' online service to the desired Migros branch.
"Migros, with its nationwide branch network, is an ideal partner for us. We want to be where our customers are," explained Thomas Baur, the head of PostNetz and member of the executive committee of Swiss Post.
Swiss Post is constantly expanding access to postal services, and by the year 2020 it plans to introduce more than 4,200 different access points for postal services.
