Nestlé has announced that it is developing a new €109 million manufacturing facility in Dubai, to produce coffee and culinary products for Middle Eastern markets.
The new facility will be built on a 175,000 square meter site and will provide employment for 400 people once fully operational.
“The opening of this new facility in Dubai will strengthen our local manufacturing capabilities, giving us more flexibility to adapt our products to local consumer preferences and use local and regional raw materials," said Yves Manghardt, chairman and chief executive of Nestlé Middle East.
The facility will be producing culinary products by the end of 2015, and will start producing coffee next year, he added.
