Online retailer Ocado has announced plans to open a new 43,254-square-foot delivery hub in Milton Keynes, north-west of London.
The new facility, in the suburb of Tongwell, will open on 11 November and will house 111 Ocado delivery vans. It is expected to create 250 jobs.
“As we continue to expand our business across the country, we’re excited to announce the opening of our newest delivery hub in Milton Keynes," said Julie Markey, director of HR at Ocado.
"The site at Tongwell is perfectly located for serving our customers who live in the Milton Keynes area, and we’re now on the hunt for 200 enthusiastic, customer-service-focused new drivers to join the team."
Ocado announced a profit of £7 million (€9.56 million) earlier this year, and now serves more than 471,000 customers across the UK.
