Portuguese seasonings producer Paladin has commenced exporting its products to South Korea, where they will be sold by hypermarket chain Lotte.
The initial distribution deal for a range of 16 products has been signed with local distributor Seoyoung. Paladin’s product range in South Korea will be sold to the consumer at a price lower than that of large multinational brands, by between 5% and 10%.
Competitive Advantage
Paladin is targeting sales of €300,000 in South Korea within three years. The company said that its range of sauces, vinegars, and piri-piri seasoning will offer it a competitive advantage, as they are completely different from other products in the local market.
Owned by the Mendes Gonçalves company, Paladin is already present in more than 30 countries with over 60 different products, but is set to continue with its international expansion plans.
