Dutch online supermarket group Picnic has entered into a new purchasing partnership with German supermarket chain Edeka, according to media reports.
The new alliance will replace its partnership with the wholesale purchasing organisation, Superunie, nu.nl reported.
Market Expansion
Picnic entered the German market in 2018 and is reportedly seeking to expand into the French and British markets.
The new alliance with Edeka will see Picnic expand its operations in Germany under the name Everest.
Picnic will also launch its own-label organic line in the coming weeks, the report said.
The company expects to generate a turnover of €500 million this year.
