Croatian food processing company Podravka has signed a distribution contract with renowned local distributor Arabian Supplies.
Podravka has been present in Qatar for the past two years and recently opened a branch office in the Jebel Ali Free Zone in the UAE.
The new contract will entrust Podravka with a strong partner that will enable it to get a foothold in the Qatar retail sector, along with long-term business development in one of the key markets of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

Podravka is actively present in nine countries within the MENA region, and has to date been recording strong business results.
Its entire product range has been adjusted to communication in the Arab language, completely new products have been developed and halal certification has also been successfully implemented.
As well as Qatar, long-term projects have been set up with local partners in Oman and Kuwait, while preconditions have also been developed for targeting the local markets in Egypt, Bahrein, Iraq and Lebanon, said Nermin Salman, CEO of Podravka Gulf FZE.
Initial results show that the buyers and consumers have best accepted Vegeta seasonings and soups, Kviki snack, Lino cream spreads, Lino Pillows and Podravka ajvar.
