A Tesco store in Birmingham, England, was the ground for a protest against the Gaza conflict over the weekend.
Around 100 protestors were originally peacefully demonstrating outside the store in a bid to get the supermarket to stop selling Israeli products. Some protestors then apparently entered the store and threw what they believed to be Israeli products to the floor.
A few protestors began shouting at staff and shoppers. Some police officers were attacked, with one protester arrested for assaulting the officers and two protestors being escorted from the premises, according to West Midlands police.
A Tesco spokesman said, "The demonstration took place mainly outside the store. There was some minimal damage to a few goods inside - police were on the scene and the store reopened after being closed for just a few minutes."
Tesco does not plan to stop selling Israeli products for the time being.
There has been an increasing number of protests throughout Europe in recent weeks calling on supermarkets and individuals to boycott Israeli products over Israeli actions in Gaza.
