Resilinc, the supply chain management and solutions firm, has formed what it has called the First Annual Global Supply Chain Resiliency Council and Awards.
The new body/conference is designed to improve end-to-end supply chain efficacy and resilience. The first conference and award ceremony will take place on 25 February in California.
One component Resilinc wishes to develop in the coming times is that of the dynamic between the supply chain academic world, and the supply chain industry – one of the essential undertakings of this era to ensure savoir-faire in future of logistics.
Bindiya Vakil, Resilinc founder and CEO stated "The supply chain resiliency movement deserves an enduring industry organisation behind it with formal leadership and dedicated staff that doesn't depend solely on the efforts of volunteers.
"Our vision is that while Resilinc remains the technical advisor and principal sponsor, the Council will incorporate as a not-for-profit with an expanded charter that may include the support of risk management research and benchmarks, as well as standard/best-practice methodologies and frameworks."
