Rewe has boosted the level of traceability across its fresh product range in order to ensure that it meets Italian legal requirements. According to the strict legal requirements for cool storage in Italy, a number of criteria need to be measured on individual batches, such as country of origin, production type, type of fishing used, and Rewe has turned to warehouse system provider Knapp to ensure it meets said guidelines.
Using Knapp's KiSoft WMS, more efficient data capture is available at the warehouse receiving dock. Rewe and Knapp have worked together on more than 20 warehouse locations across Europe, including six logistics operations in Italy. (2 Mar)
