SCA, the Swedish paper-product company, has announced that Mats Sandgren will leave his position as president of the group's business area forest, effective 1 April 2018.
The company, which produces brands such as Velvet and Tempo tissues, says that he will continue to work as a senior advisor to SCA's corporate staff, reporting to CEO Ulf Larsson.
Jonas Mårtensson, who is currently president of business area wood, will succeed Sandgren as president of business area forest.
Mårtensson is set to be replaced in his role by Jerry Larsson, manager of the Obbola paper mill, who will be succeeded by Kraftliner sales director Per Strand.
Company Expansion
SCA announced that net sales increased 9% to SEK 12,422 million in the third quarter of the year.
The company says it benefited from good market conditions across all of its business segments, with favourable demand and continued price increases.
It is also continuing with its investment at the Östrand pulp mill, which aims to increase the group's production capacity.
At the end of the third quarter, SEK 4.7 billion has been invested in the mill, corresponding to about 60% of the total planned amount. The project is expected to be complete by 2019.
SCA operates 2.6 million hectares of forest in northern Sweden.
