The Spanish agri-food sector grew by 1.8% in 2015, achieving over €95 billion worth of sales and consolidating itself as the country's main industry.
As reported by telecinco.es, this income represents a record for the country and approximately 22.3% of the Gross Value Added in Spanish manufacturing in total.
The figure comes from the 2016 Sector report by CESCE, the Spanish export credit agency.
Agri-food exports grew by 6% in 2015, reaching sales of €25 billion. Spain exported 25% of its production in 2015, a 5% increase compared to 2015.
