The Spanish government has released a new statement calling on France to work towards finding a solution regarding its striking farmers.
According to a report in the French newspaper Le Figaro, Spain's Foreign Ministry has expressed concern about the series of disruptive events taking place since July 21.
The Spanish government had previously called on France to respect the right to the "free movement" of people and goods in a statement released last month.
The farmers are reported to have used tractors to block the motorway close to Spanish border, which has led to major traffic jams.
Similar tactics were carried out at the German border with France.
Blaming foreign competition, supermarkets and distributors for falling prices for produce, French farmers have blocked urban areas, motorways and tourist locations across France in recent times.
