Spar Kalingrad has opened a new 12,500 square metre distribution centre (DC), to service the network of Spars throughout Russia.
The warehouse will supply Eurospar and Spar stores with dry grocery goods, chilled produce such as eggs, meat, fish and caviar.
The new DC was opened 15 September by key representatives of the local community.
Spar Kalingrad has been an operational member of the Spar group in Russia since 2013, and has opened 17 Eurospars and Spar stores to date.
The new distribution centre has the capacity to hold 2,605 SKU’s and the 17 loading bays are in constant use during peak times.
Kalingrad’s unique positioning allows shoppers access to a variety of foods and a diverse range.
