The Weetabix Food Company has selected supply chain software provider Kewill to upgrade its UK client side electronic data interchange (EDI) infrastructure to improve trading partner communications of commercial documents.
The Weetabix Food Company's brands include Weetabix, Alpen, Ready brek, Weetos, Oatibix and Alpen Cereal Bars.
Its mills in Northamptonshire, England export to more than 80 countries around the world with all of the wheat being grown within 50 miles of the site.
With business continuing to grow, the Weetabix Food Company said it required a faster and more efficient solution to replace its existing UK client side EDI infrastructure and selected Kewill for its expertise in automating and simplifying global trade and logistics.
The new system fully manages and supports its new electronic communications processes with its UK and European trading partners and for future expansion with partners worldwide.
The solutions allows users the ability to seamlessly manage the transaction of commercial documents such as orders, invoices and advanced shipping notes with more than 40 suppliers and partners and an easy exchange of payroll information with revenue departments.
