Welsh Food Centres Support Food And Drink Action Plan

Three food centres in Wales have agreed to support the Welsh government's Food and Drink Action Plan.

The plan aims to grow the sector by 30 per cent to £7 billion over the next five years.

The food centres - Food Centre Wales, the Food Technology Centre and Zero2Five Food Industry Centre - have announced the launch of Food Innovation Wales to encourage growth in the food and drink sector in the country.

Food Innovation Wales is dedicated to encouraging the development of the food sector and providing technical and operational support on all aspects of food manufacturing.

Food Innovation Wales’s team of food industry experts will assist Welsh businesses in navigating their way through a range of food disciplines, from nutrition and dietetics, environmental health, new product development, factory and workplace design, quality assurance, hygiene, food safety, marketing and efficiency.
