Wincanton, one of the UK and Ireland's leading providers of supply chain solutions, said that it is trading “in line with expectations”, despite difficult trading conditions.
In the group's interim management statement released yesterday, Wincanton announced that it is continuing to grow new business and recently secured new contracts with Kiddicare and Rolls-Royce, as well as renewing contracts with Superquinn, Dairy Crest, AvantiGas and Neal’s Yard Remedies.
{loadposition user99} The British supply chain specialist also won business with major retailers Asda and Sainsbury’s, although its construction sector has not seen any growth.
Eric Born, CEO said, “We have started the year well and are on track to deliver our plan. Whilst we expect the economy to remain challenging, we continue to progress along our path to reduce debt and to return to profitable growth.” (27 Jul)
