Dutch retailer Albert Heijn has introduced a digital savings feature to the AH app for a new savings campaign.
The campaign will run for 13 weeks between 26 August and 17 November, during which time customers can collect savings stamps based on their purchases.
At the end of the campaign, the savings stamps can be redeemed against a range of crystal glasses.
As per the new system, the savings stamps will be added digitally to the customer's bonus card as soon as it is scanned after an in-store purchase or after placing an online order.
The Deal
Customers will receive a crystal glass stamp for every €10 worth of purchase. A set of two glasses can be redeemed with 20 stamps and a €2.99 surcharge.
In this year's savings campaign, the retailer has included gin and tonic glasses from Villeroy & Boch Group's Vivo glassware range.
It will also offer two limited-edition glasses – a long drink glass and a champagne glass.
Savings Campaigns
In recent years, Albert Heijn customers participated in savings campaigns for (2015), food containers (2016), pans (2017), oven dishes (2017) and crockery (2018).
In 2014, the last time in which Albert Heijn offered a savings campaign for glasses, some 4.5 million stamps were distributed.
The retailer described that campaign as a 'resounding success' and cited it as the main reason behind repeating the campaign this year.
