Amazon has announced that its Alexa and Echo devices will now be available for customers in Italy and Spain.
As well as language support, Amazon developers have customised the device to match a wide range of user requirements based on local preferences in Italy and Spain.
"A New Experience"
Vice-president of Amazon Alexa, Toni Reid, said, “We’ve built a new experience that honours the unique cultures in Italy and Spain, ensuring Alexa knows what matters most to customers just as a local would.”
Customers in Italy and Spain can pre-order Echo, Echo Dot, Echo Plus, Echo Spot, and the company will start shipping the products from next week.
Wide Range Of Skills
Alexa’s cloud-based voice service will answer questions, play music, control compatible lights and thermostats, provide sports results, news, and host of other functions.
Reid further added that the newly launched virtual assistant is equipped with hundreds of skills, increased in association with popular Italian and Spanish brands like RAI, Giallo Zafferano, BTicino, Televisión Española, Renfe, and El Pais.
