Amazon's Italian arm has rolled out the Amazon Fresh service in Milan, offering a same-day grocery delivery option.
The service will initially be available to Amazon Prime customers in Milan and surrounding municipalities (including Cologno Monzese, Rho and Opera). It will be expanded to Rome and other Italian cities by the end of the year.
Amazon Fresh offers over 10,000 SKUs, including fresh produce, meat and seafood, and a range of products exclusively sourced from Italian startups.
Consumers are able to make their Amazon Fresh purchases through retail partner U2 Supermercato, via the Amazon shopping app, and on the Amazon.it website, with no delivery charge applicable for orders over €50.
An Amazon Prime subscription is available for €36 per year or €3.99 per month and includes a 30-day free usage period.
