Britain's Co-operative Group has launched a new app that will allow customers to access a range of offers and services through their smartphones.
The app allows 4.6 million Co-op customers to download weekly personalised offers and track their reward balance.
Every week, customers can avail two offers along with in-store promotions.
Customer director at the Co-op, Ali Jones, said, "Members will save money on products they buy or might like to try and have the convenience of being able to choose offers before coming into store.
"[It will also allow members to] track their member reward balance, and of going paper-free, removing the need to hold onto and remember paper coupons."
Additional Elements
In the coming months, the company aims to develop the app to include additional elements such as access to recipes.
Tim Sleap, director of data and insights at Co-op said, "This new app has only been possible due to the massive steps forward the Co-op has made in our data science capabilities.
"This means that through the data that our members trust us with, we can make their experience of the Co-op more tailored and deliver greater, more personalised, value back to them."
The app is available for download on Google Play and the Apple App Store.
This year, Co-op has implemented several digital initiatives including an online convenience proposition using e-bikes and delivery robots, and a pay in the aisle trial project.
