Carrefour Brazil has announced that it has acquired e-Mídia, the digital content company that operates the websites Cyber Cook, Vila Mulher, and Mais Equilíbrio.
The retailer will use the purchase to enable customers to buy ingredients on Carrefour Brazil’s e-commerce website, for the recipes highlighted on the portal.
'A Major Step'
The executive director of Carrefour Brazil, Noël Prioux, said, “This acquisition represents a major step in the roll-out of our omnichannel in Brazil, through which we have been investing in innovation to offer services that facilitate our customers’ journey.”
E-Mídia’s digital content portal features more than 100,000 recipes, with millions of visitors each month.
The acquisition is in line with Carrefour Brazil’s commitment to its strategic priorities in digital transformation.
It also conforms to Carrefour Group’s global strategy of leading the 'food transition' for shoppers by offering healthy and quality food at affordable prices.
