French retailer Carrefour announced on Thursday that it was expanding access to online shopping in China, launching its e-commerce website and app in cities Wuxi & Suzhou on 22 November.
It had previously introduced the service in Kunming on 13 October. Six cities in China now have access to Carrefour's digital platform, including Shanghai, Beijing, and Chengdu.
The retailer plans to extend coverage to Wuhan by the end of the year.
Carrefour's e-commerce platform has been successful in other parts of the world. In Spain, its online produce selection has helped it challenge rivals Amazon and El Corte Inglés.
