Carrefour's three-day hackathon, which took place between 23 and 25 September, has generated six innovative projects which the retailer is now going to 'incubate' over the coming weeks.
The aim of these six projects is to enhance the customers experience and to leverage data to predict new trends. The teams selected are given the opportunity to transform their prototypes into tangible concepts.
The projects include methods to tackle food waste, solutions for helping customers to create shopping lists and approaches to enhancing customer service and developing customer loyalty, as well as ways to provide a more interactive experience for customers as they make their way through the store.
