Carrefour Italia is the winner of the first edition of the Retail Lighting Award 2015 for its "Project Gourmet".
The project consists of finding the perfect lighting models to enhance the shopping experience of customers, through proper calibration of the frequency of the LEDs in each area, to enhance the path between the various departments of the store.
The Gourmet stores involved in the project managed to achieve savings of about 70 per cent in energy consumption, while maintenance costs were down by about 72 per cent.
Carrefour Italia's project stood out, as it succeeded to combine energy savings, customer welfare, product development and technological innovation.
The Retail Lighting Award was given during the third edition of Retail Energy, an event dedicated to energy conservation and innovations in retail and food stores.
