French retail group Carrefour has launched new online stores in Italy and Brazil.
After launching Clicca & Ritira in 2015, Carrefour has now upgraded its e-commerce presence in Italy to Spesa Online. Customers can now request in-store and home delivery.
The product range has been extended and divided into 11 categories: fruit and veg, milk and milk products, other fresh products, canned goods, personal care, petcare, water, alcoholic beverages, frozen goods and ice cream, babycare, homecare, and paper and plastic.
The offer includes both branded and private-label products: Carrefour, Bio, Selection and Terre d’Italia.
In-store delivery is available one hour after ordering, while home delivery is available three hours from the time of ordering and free for orders exceeding €70.
In Brazil, after a four-year absence, Carrefour has announced that it will relaunch its online store. Initially, the service will be available in the south-east, before being extended to other parts of the country over the coming months.
At first, only non-food products will be available in the e-commerce channel, but the expectation is that consumers will also be able to purchase food from 2017.
