Carrefour Italy has taken a new step towards environmental sustainability in Milan through the installation of its ‘Shop ’n’ Go’ car sharing and charging facility at one of its Carrefour Market stores.
Seven more of these charging stations are planned for other Milan Carrefour Market stores.
‘The stations will all be active by the end of the year, with 30 charging spaces and up to 40 parking places in total,’ a company statement read.
‘The initiative is part of efforts to raise customer awareness of the advantages of shared and electric mobility for environmental sustainability, promoting eco-sustainable and efficient behaviour, including in urban areas and particularly in major cities such as Milan.
‘The partnership with Share’ngo [sic] is a further example of Carrefour’s commitment to environmental sustainability, as is the recent achievement of UNI CEI EN ISO 50001 certification, which certifies that all Carrefour Italy’s energy management processes are well-managed and controlled, and makes the Group’s Italian operations some of the best in the world.’
