Carrefour Poland has announced that it has added grocery shopping to its Click & Collect service.
The initiative will allow customers to purchase groceries from the carrefour.pl online store and collect their goods from any Carrefour hypermarket or supermarket across the country.
The order will be processed by an employee of the selected store, for which the customer will not incur any additional fees, the retailer added.
'Omnichannel Strategy'
Michał Sacha, member of the Carrefour Polska board, commented, “The development of the click & collect system for grocery shopping is the result of a consistently implemented omnichannel strategy.
“Putting the customer's needs first, we made it possible to order purchases in our online store not only with home delivery but also with pickup in over 200 Carrefour stores throughout Poland.”
Shoppers are required to select the ‘Pickup at the Carrefour point’ delivery method after logging on to the Carrefour.pl to avail of the service.
They then choose the specific store and the date on which they wish to pick up the order, before choosing the items and making the online payment, the retailer added.
