Carrefour Polska has rolled out a 'Poleceni' (referrals) feature in its e-grocery store that allows shoppers to avail large discounts on their purchases by recommending others to shop online at Carrefour.
The move aims to encourage more customers to shop online, and establish Carrefour as a leader in the grocery e-commerce sector in Poland, the retailer said.
Michał Sacha of Carrefour Polska's marketing, digital, IT, e-commerce and financial services department, said, "Command and recommendation systems are becoming increasingly popular all over the world, which is why we decided to launch them in Poland in our e-store. We are convinced that [...] this we will gain many new, loyal customers."
How It Works
Customers with an account on the website kupycodzienne.carrefour.pl are eligible to recommend their friends to shop on Carrefour's online grocery store.
The discount can be availed on the first purchase by a recommended customer, with a minimum value of PLN 50.
A code is provided to the recommended person in the 'recommended for you' tab on Carrefour's grocery website.
Once the recommended person enters the code, the order value is reduced by PLN 20 while the recommender receives a discount of PLN 30.
A recommender is eligible for discounts of up to PLN 90 and can recommend shopping to a maximum of 3 people.
E-Grocery Assortment
Carrefour's e-grocery assortment offers around 20,000 food products, household goods, and cosmetics.
It includes products from all FMCG categories, as well as fresh vegetables, fruit and herbs, bread and confectionery, meat, sausages, and dairy products.
Customers can also buy a wide range of bioproducts, items from Carrefour's 'Healthy Shelf' segment, and gluten-free and lactose-free products.
