Carrefour Spain Takes Steps To Reduce Energy Consumption

Carrefour Spain has said that it is achieving energy savings of up to 45 per cent through using carbon dioxide in its ambient lighting instead of hydrofluorocarbons.

The French retailer succeeded in doing this through the application of new installation methods developed in Spain, Accelerate Europe reports.

Ivan Díaz, Carrefour Spain’s national refrigeration and HVAC manager, commented that “It’s about checking energy consumption and system reliability. We got good results."
