Carrefour Taiwan has hosted its first ever 'hackathon', following the success of a similar event in France.
The hackathon, which bore the name 'hackeasy.life' was organised with the aim of providing participants with the opportunity to build projects around the idea of simplifying or creating a unique shopping experience by using technology.
Carrefour Taiwan's hackathon was organised in cooperation with Credit Agricole, L’Oréal Taiwan, Gandi.net, French Tech Taiwan and Pernod Ricard Taiwan.
The winning team presented Shopcial, a social networking app for shopping, which enables customers to share and discuss discounts or events online.
