Retail group Coop Danmark has won a prize at the Danish Internet Awards for its digital app, Coop Medlem. The app received the Audience Award after receiving the highest number of public votes in the contest.
Coop Medlem was launched in 2016 and aims to replace the retailer's traditional plastic membership cards. It allows customers to pay with their mobile, access offers, news and recipes, and receive a digital copy of their receipts.
Recognition
"We are extremely pleased and proud of the award because it is the users who have spoken," said Annette Buck, head of CRM and the Coop Medlem programme.
She added that the app has been downloaded almost 500,000 times in the eight months since its launch, and more than two million personalized offers have been activated.
Earlier this year, the Coop Medlem app also won a prize for innovation at the Danish Digital Awards.
