Coop Switzerland has launched a new online culinary platform, named 'Fooby'. The digital platform offers a range of services, from apps and tutorial videos to blogs.
In addition to providing new digital services, such as an 'electronic cook book', the new platform is intended to link customers, brick-and-mortar stores and the company's main website, coop@home, with its new interactive website.
The platform's website can be used to find recipes, create shopping lists and order shopping directly from coop@home. It also features blogs and videos by customers wishing to share their culinary experiences and discoveries.
The platform also publishes an online newsletter, posting gastronomic events and food-related news flashes to the social networks of Facebook, Instagram, Youtube and Pinterest.
Philipp Wyss, vice president of Coop and head of marketing & purchasing, explained that the Fooby platform aims to facilitate the positive experience of preparing good food, regardless of whether it falls into the ‘haute cuisine’ category or is just a simple salad.
“Far from being a simple necessity, cooking should be a way to relax and enjoy yourself after work.”
