Coop Switzerland has aannounced that it has stopped selling 'traditional' energy-saving lamps and increased sales of LED-lamps, which are proven to be even more energy-saving.
In 2011, Coop stopped providing conventional lightbulbs, and since then the retailer has started to extend its assortment of energy-efficiant illuminants.
In cooperation with WWF, Coop agreed to raise the amount of energy-efficient bulbs it sells to 95% by 2020.
To let its customers benefit from the new products, Coop, Coop City and Coop Bau+Hobby are selling all Philips-LED lamps for half price on 7 and 8 October.
