Spanish discounter Dia has installed 2000 Beetle/M-II POS systems from Wincor Nixdorf in 1100 of its stores in just ten days.
DIA, which took over all the stores of the former German drugstore chain Schlecker in Spain, commissioned Wincor Nixdorf to integrate the solution seamlessly along with the POS systems in its existing store network.
"With more than 80 technicians and a project management team, we successfully accomplished installation of the POS systems at the new DIA stores in just ten days without interrupting their operations and opening hours," said Eduardo Ortiz, chief of services business at Wincor Nixdorf in Spain.
Wincor Nixdorf will provide service to Dia for three years. More than 4000 Dia stores in Spain have now been equipped with POS systems from Wincor Nixdorf.
