El Corte Inglés has announced plans to provide its costumers with a new mobile payment option, using Samsung Pay. The Spanish retailer will issue private cards so that clients can pay using their mobiles, reports ADSLZone.net.
El Corte Inglés is the first supermarket that will featured this technology in Spain. Clients will be able to register their cards on the Samsung Pay application to pay their purchases by mobile, with the retailer saying that the agreement will benefit 11 million some El Corte Inglés customers.
To facilitate payments, users will need to open the application, choose the payment card and identify themselves putting their fingerprint in a sensor. The mobile device will connect to El Corte Inglés point of sale terminal in-store, to process payment.
