Italian retail cooperative Gruppo VéGé has partnered with online shopping service Everli, formerly known as Supermercato24.
The partnership will see the online operator's online ordering and home delivery services rolled out to the VéGé sales network.
The three-year agreement will expand, on a national scale, the successful collaborations of Everli with Metro Italia and Bennet, companies that are part of the Gruppo VéGé network.
The involvement of the Gruppo VéGé network, which includes 33 independent Italian retailers boasting some 3,500 stores, will enable the cooperative to provide customers with a convenient, simple and fast shopping experience.
Everli has demonstrated its importance during the COVID-19 pandemic – in fact, the business saw a tenfold increase in traffic during the period, compared to the previous months.
According to Everli CEO, Federico Sargenti, the agreement with Gruppo VéGé will enable the platform to improve its product offering and expand its presence in Central and Southern Italy.
As well as Gruppo VéGé and its members, other food retailers using the Everli platform include Pam, Conad, Esselunga, Eurospin, Famila, Carrefour and Coop.
