New image, new concept, new light – Carrefour SA in Turkey has just finished the renovation of 19 of its hypermarkets, bringing a fresh, new approach to its stores.
In addition, the group is (literally) aiming high, not only by introducing a bolder concept, but also with its lighting system.
Carrefour SA decided to replace its old fluorescent lighting systems, located above the fresh-food area, with spotlighting, while keeping the same installation height, up to 4.5 metres.
Such a tall height requires a powerful and flexible fixture, capable of properly addressing the light requirements of the store. With this in mind, the Venere Pro P from Imoon is the perfect match.
Creating Atmosphere
For each kind of product, a matching colour temperature was chosen, creating the right atmosphere.
The butchery and the fishmonger, for instance, were lit with Imoon’s exclusive Meat & Fish HD technology, which enhances the natural qualities of these products without the need for artificial colouring. Elsewhere, the special LEDs, such as FullColour and XWarm, provide the cosy warmth required by departments such as bread, pasta, wine and fresh produce.
Thanks to Imoon’s best-in-class efficiency, Carrefour SA has been able to reduce its energy consumption while increasing the amount of light used to showcase particular products, enhancing their desirability with the according colour temperature.
Lastly, the wide range of reflectors within the Venere Pro family means that unusually high installation, as is the case in Carrefour SA’s stores, is no challenge. The light is addressed accurately to the products and displays, creating the right accent effect to provide the correct ambience.
