Italian Retailers Commence Sale of Products Via Amazon Prime

Italian supermarket U2 and organic supermarket NaturaSì have signed a strategic agreement with Amazon for home delivery of their products.

Citizens of Milan and some municipalities in the hinterland can now buy products from the two supermarkets online, via the Amazon Prime Now service, and receive them within an hour.

Amazon Prime Now’s offer, which currently includes more than 20,000 products, will be expanded by more than 6,000 items. Among the new arrivals will be a wide selection of fresh produce from U2 and NaturaSì stores, including private labels U! Confronta e Risparmia and Viaggiator Goloso.

To complete the purchase, a minimum order of €19 per store is required.

For the future, Amazon plans to expand the service to other Italian cities, signing similar agreements with other distributors locally.
