Italian large-scale retailer MD has formed a new partnership with home delivery service Everli, allowing customers to shop online from 55 MD stores across 13 regions and 26 provinces in Italy.
The MD stores involved in the partnership are spread across Abruzzo, Campania, Emilia-Romagna, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Lazio, Liguria, Lombardy, Piedmont, Puglia, Sardinia, Sicily, Trentino-Alto Adige, and Veneto.
This renewed collaboration is part of Everli's ongoing process of consolidating, reorganising, and relaunching its operations following its acquisition by Palella Holdings.
Collaboration
Everli boasts a vast network of collaborations with over 60 large-scale retail chains in Italy, including Lidl, Coop, Conad, and Carrefour, covering 62 provinces.
Jonathan Hannestad, CEO of Everli, commented, "The new collaboration with an important large-scale retail chain operator like MD demonstrates that the renewal process undertaken by our company following the acquisition by Palella Holdings is gaining the trust of the sector and strengthening our position as a leading operator of home shopping.
"The 55 stores of the MD network are a significant strengthening of our network and allow us to satisfy an increasingly wider target of customers."
Delivery Partnership
The home delivery partnership coincides with MD’s 30th anniversary.
Speaking at the two-day company convention, founder and president Patrizio Podini emphasised the need for reduced operating margins and stronger collaboration within the supply chain to meet the evolving needs of customers who seek quality products at affordable prices and a positive shopping experience.
MD, with a turnover approaching €4 billion, plans to open 10-15 new stores in the coming months, further strengthening its presence in Italy with over 800 stores.
