JORDÃO has launched United Buy Bye, a new and innovative refrigerated micro store with artificial intelligence and computer vision.
The United Buy Bye concept offers a wide variety of perishable items such as ready-to-eat products, meal kits, sandwiches, soft drinks, water, delicacies, salad bowls, and lasagnas.
Consumers can unlock the cabinet with their mobile devices, freely browse and grab items from shelves and make secure payments, without queuing and waiting.
Unlike traditional vending machines, United Buy Bye allows customers to interact with the products on sale before buying.
United Buy Bye will enable retailers to maximise sales by offering customers the option to purchase a wide assortment of perishable products at any time of the day and in the most convenient locations.
Retailers can set up the micro store in schools, universities, residential areas, offices, health clubs, train stations and airports.
It is cost-effective to install and retailers can keep track of sales and inventory in real-time.
JORDÃO teamed up with the start-up RECKON.AI to develop United Buy Bye, which offers customers access to a variety of products, anytime and anywhere.
Joana Lobo, director of R&D at JORDÃO, commented, “This innovative merchandiser allowed us to test the incorporation of advanced technologies in a refrigerated display, delivering value to shoppers and retailers.”
Jerónimo Martins has set up a United Buy Bye micro store at the Pingo Doce Lab Store in Nova University, Lisbon.
