Lidl Germany has unveiled its first ever online-streaming service for movies, TV series and music.
The discounter has launched the service in a bid to target a younger audience and to stand up against Aldi and Amazon in the online sector.
The digital streaming service 'Lidl You', which commenced this week, works in cooperation with the music streaming portal 'Deezer' and the movie provider 'Maxdome'. A total of 40 Million songs and 50,000 movies are available.
The first month will be free for new users of the service. Coupons can also be purchased in-store.
Aldi Nord and Süd launched its streaming service 'Aldi Life' some time ago, while Amazon has extended its offer within the last few months for its Prime customers.
