Cosmetics giant L’Oréal has created an app which is designed to educate new employees about its company culture, in what it refers to as a ‘breakthrough in the world of digital human resources’.
This ‘pocket coach’, which is designed to be used for between five and ten minutes per day by newly hired members of the company, allows its users to ‘navigate the rich and inimitable L’Oréal culture’.
App Features
The company states that the app contains ‘capsules of content on topics such as entrepreneurship, agility, networking and cooperation’.
Each capsule contains a mixture of text, photos, videos, testimonials, quizzes and mini-games, while ‘newcomers play and earn points to ultimately become a #CultureGuru,’ and 'complete real-life “missions” linked to the capsules in order to put their learning into practice on-the-job.’
L’Oréal says that the app will reach up to 10,000 new employees annually in 11 different languages.
