Swiss retailer Migros has launched a jobs website with information about the diverse range of opportunities the company has to offer.
The online portal offers information about the more than 60 companies and five business areas that form part of the Migros group. It hosts information about the type of work, working conditions, portraits of current employees and job listings.
The retailer says that around 600 jobs will be advertised each month in diverse areas such as retail, financial services and health. The company also operates more than 1,500 apprenticeship programmes across 50 professions.
Diverse Workplaces
Companies that are part of the Migros group include the bakery Jowa, the Migros bank, the high-end grocer Globus and the electronics retailer Digitec Galaxus.
“Thanks to its diversity, the Migros Group can offer its employees and potential candidates numerous career opportunities and prospects. We are represented by successful companies throughout Switzerland and offer attractive working conditions," says Fabrice Zumbrunnen, head of HR, culture and leisure at Migros.
Recognition
In April, the grocer was named as the Swiss company with the best reputation for the fourth year in a row, according to the 2017 GfK BUsiness Reflector list.
The Swiss Handelszeitung ranked Migros as the ninth-largest employer in the country with over 72,600 employees. Its main competitor Coop Switzerland, came in tenth, with 67,870 employees.
