Nidec Global Appliance is celebrating the 50th anniversary of its brand Embraco – a name known globally for refrigeration technology for home appliances and commercial cold chain since 1971.
The brand completed half a century of its innovative approach on 10 March and is ready for a fresh start.
After being acquired by Nidec Corporation in July 2019, Embraco was integrated into the Nidec Global Appliance division, gaining structure to accelerate growth.
Nidec Global Appliance comprises three business units: Home Appliances, Commercial Appliances and HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning).
This allows Embraco to focus on specific market segments, strengthen its customer-centric approach, and improve its portfolio of compressors and condensing units.
Embraco is present in more than 80 countries, stamped on one of every five hermetic compressors used globally.
It is known worldwide for innovation, quality and reliability. In 1994, it launched Pioneer, the first reciprocating compressor running on natural refrigerants.
In 1998, it introduced the first compressor featuring variable speed technology.
Now, Embraco is celebrating its anniversary with the launch of 'Refresh the Future' campaign, featuring a video that reinforces the brand's positioning and highlights its main strengths.
Anchored on the concept that 'refresh' means 'renovate', the campaign highlights Embraco's attitude of anticipating trends and delivering the kind of innovation that drives the refrigeration market worldwide.
