Norway's NorgesGruppen has allocated a fund of seven million kroner towards encouraging its employes to adopt better environmental practices in 2017.
Employees at the group will be able to apply for grants towards the purchase of electric cars, bicycles and season tickets for public transport.
Employees can also apply for solar panels for their homes.
Measures being implemented in-store to boost environmental credentials include better insulation, the purchase of heat pumps and other measures relating to renewable energy sources.
