Witron's new Order Fulfilment System (OFS) provides an economically operable mechanised picking-system solution for e-commerce enterprises in all stages of the business cycle.
Witron, from its base in Parkstein, in Germany, has developed the OFS, a modularly designed, flexible system that combines the existing automated WITRON OPS (Order Picking System) modules, used for the efficient handling of large article quantities, and its CPS (Car Picking System), for the handling of large-volume articles.
OFS provides logistical and cost efficiency for e-commerce businesses, guaranteeing efficiency for even a small-volume picking operation, error-free picking directly into the dispatch carton, efficient order consolidation, short throughput times, and transparent and integrated returns management.
Its picking system, OPS, acts as a logistical core element that is able to efficiently manage small, medium, and very broad article ranges. Highly dynamic mechanical elements, as well as small, light, and high-speed stacker cranes, allow the shortest possible throughput times with the focus on same-day or next-day-delivery.
Integrated packaging lines and a warehouse management system equipped with a large number of e-commerce functionalities (including features for volume calculation and order consolidation), optimise the delivery process in a sustainable manner.
Witron's DPS (Dynamic Picking System) is a state-of-the-art returns handling, focusing on speed, accuracy, efficient storage, and the immediate reavailability of articles for order picking. The returns handling system is a challenge for the e-commerce trade, and DPS offers the highest standard of efficiency in that area.
