The biggest refrigeration trade fair in Europe, Chillventa, kicked off yesterday at NürnbergMesse in Germany, for its largest event to date.
This year's show saw a 2% increase in space and 4% increase in exhibitors, taking it past the 1,000-exhibitor mark for the first time.
Some 1,019 exhibitors from 45 countries, from the fields of refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation and heat pump technology, are featured at this year's event. International pavilions from Korea, Thailand, the Czech Republic, Turkey, China and the USA also bring some international flavour to proceedings.
The main focus areas of this year's Chillventa include Internet of Things (IoT) technologies, IT security for refrigeration systems, climate goals, refrigerant recovery and processing, F-gas regulation, efficiency controls, innovation in heat transfer, data centre air conditioning, heat recovery and cold water system solutions.
"Chillventa has undergone a remarkable and rapid development," said Daniela Heinkel, event manager Chillventa, NürnbergMesse.
"With six events in 10 years, this year marks a milestone – for the first time in the history of the trade fair it is breaking the thousand mark in terms of exhibitor participation. We are very happy about this, as this once again clearly demonstrates the importance of Chillventa to the international community. A sure indication that Chillventa is THE international hot spot for the refrigeration industry."
In addition, the day before Chillventa commenced, on 15 October, the Chillventa CONGRESS saw experts from across this sector discuss and debate the latest trends and innovations.
