Spar Hungary plans to expand its nationwide e-charging network in cooperation with e-mobility partner NKM Mobilitás Kft.
Initially, the partnership saw the introduction of 33 charging stations at 17 Spar hypermarkets and supermarkets.
This expansion is the latest decision made by Spar International's various operations to become more eco-friendly, with its Irish business introducing biogas-fuelled delivery vehicles last year.
E-Charging
Customers can avail of the Mobiliti charging service for 25 cents per kilowatt-hour, meaning it costs around €4.75 to drive 100 kilometres.
In 2020, the retailer connected 48 charging stations at 20 selected Spar supermarkets and hypermarkets to the system.
Customers wishing to partake in the scheme can use the Mobiliti app for information and payment, with the option to settle payments via bank card.
