Spar Norway has launched an online store in the town of Bodø. The online service is being operated by Eurospar Hunstad, which is the first such outlet in northern of Norway to launch an online site.
Products are picked by hand by Eurospar Hunstad employees, so that customers know who is handling the items that are ordered online.
In a statement, the retailer said, 'In this way, customers can be assured of receiving groceries of the same great quality that they would pick themselves in-store.'
All prices and offers are the same online as in the store itself and customers have the option to pick to come and collect the goods in store or have them delivered to an address of their chose. Same-day-delivery requires orders to be placed before 10am.
The online store will remember the customer's shopping history, 'making things as simple as possible for customers'. It will also recommend items for customers as they shop.
Recipe Ready
The online store also has a recipe section. If the customer takes a liking to the product, with a single click the customer can have all the ingredients listed in the recipe added straight to the shopping basket.
'The experience so far has been positive with figures showing that the average basket is five to six times higher online than in store,' the retailer said.
